Potentate El Karubah 2014
El Karubah Shriners are celebrating our100th Anniversary this year. We
received our Charter May 13, 1914. Shriners were first organized as a
fraternity and a place to have fun. By the 1920’s, Shriners decided they wanted to have fun and help children at the same
time. In 1922, members of El Karubah Shrine were instrumental in bringing the
first Shriners Hospital for Children to Shreveport.
It is an honor and privilege to serve El Karubah as it’s Potentate this year. Please check our Featured Events and Calendar
regularly. We don’t want you to miss an event. We are a fraternity, but we have numerous events
throughout the year for the entire family. Membership in our fraternity
requires new members to be a Mason. For more information about becoming a
Mason or Shriner contact our Temple office at 318-631-1595, or go to
We are located at 6230 South Lakeshore Dr. Shreveport, LA. We have a large
