What is brotherhood? If you were to ask ten people what their definition of brotherhood is, you would likely receive ten different answers. Webster’s Dictionary defines brotherhood as an association of men united in a common interest, work, creed, etc. Being part of a brotherhood as unique as ours can’t easily be explained or defined, it must be experienced to fully understand and appreciate it. It is the knowledge that all of your ...

  • My old red Fez has faded a bit,
    But that hasn’t dimmed my love for it;
    for into that bit of old head gear are woven the friendships of many a year.

    and symbolizes….you’ll understand….
    All things I found both good and fine in my happy days with the mystic Shrine. My old red Fez has faded a bit; But I’m still mighty ...

Fellow Nobles and Ladies,

This year as part of our Centennial celebration we have asked Summerfield Studios to help us make a hardback yearbook.  The book will have an Anniversary design cover.  There will be at least 12 pages of temple history, old photos, photos documenting this year, Club and unit photos.  The remainder of the book will be the Nobles pages.  Nobles should wear their Fez for the photo that will appear in the yearbook.

Potentate El Karubah 2014

El Karubah Shriners are celebrating our100th Anniversary this year. We received our Charter May 13, 1914. Shriners were first organized as a fraternity and a place to have fun. By the 1920’s, Shriners decided they wanted to have fun and help children at the same time. In 1922, members of El Karubah Shrine were instrumental in bringing the first Shriners Hospital for Children to Shreveport.

It is an honor and privilege to serve El Karubah as it’s Potentate this year. Please check our Featured Events and Calendar regularly. We don’t want you to miss an event. We are a fraternity, but we have numerous events throughout the year for the entire family. Membership in our fraternity requires new members to be a Mason. For more information about becoming a Mason or Shriner contact our Temple office at 318-631-1595, or go to beashrinernow.com.

We are located at 6230 South Lakeshore Dr. Shreveport, LA. We have a large facility on Cross Lake with a beautiful view. We have a great place to host meetings, dances, and parties. For rental information contact our office. If you haven’t found what you are looking for on the website, please contact us and we will try to help you.

Our Legacy Continues…
